What are metaphorical associative cards?

Metaphorical associative cards (MAC) are a projective tool used in psychotherapy, coaching, and personal development. Each card contains an image or word that invites open interpretation. There are no right or wrong answers. The cards help clients access emotions, memories, and associations that are difficult to reach through conversation alone.

Practitioners use MAC cards to explore identity, relationships, coping strategies, grief, and other therapeutic themes. The cards create a safe, non-directive space where clients lead the interpretation.

About the Mira deck

Your free session features Mira, a universal MAC deck with soft watercolor illustrations of everyday human experiences. The images are deliberately open-ended: each card can mean something different to each person, making them ideal for both individual reflection and guided sessions.

During a session, both you and your client see the same canvas. Choose cards from the deck, arrange them into layouts, and add annotations as you work through the material together.

How it works

  1. 1Click "Start a free session" to open a card workspace with the Mira deck
  2. 2Share the session link with a colleague or client
  3. 3Place, flip, and explore cards together on a shared canvas
